Our day started with an introduction speech by Mr. Omar and Miss Hanani.We were given the basic information on the purpose of us being there in Unirazak.Miss Hanani gave us a small tour ,showing us the library and the computer labs. Then, we were introduced to Professor who I could not remember his name,Sorry! He conducted our class the whole day on psychometric assessment tests. We were asked to use the computer lab to complete the six psychometric assessment tests. Professor was very helpful and gave us guidance on the tests.
The following day, we had two wonderful lecturers Madam Liza and Madam Farahiyah who gave us the lectures on communication skills and resume writing. They were both superb. They shared information’s about, how to write a good and impressive resume. We were given an assignment to complete which to write a cover letter to the potential employer ourself.On the 8th of March, we had a lecture on effective meeting by Madam Suzelina and Madam Iris. They were both wonderful. They explained the importance and the types of meeting. Later on, we were given a task on writing an agenda. My group, Tera Quest chose the Event Management Company to conduct an album launching title ,”The 5th 1Malaysia Album Launching Meeting”. Once done with that, we had our lunch break. At 2pm we were given another interesting task to do. Singing a song with the lyrics given with own team song. With this, my team chose the famous ‘We will, we will rock you!” team song to perform in front of the class. All our fellow classmates enjoyed watching us. Even the lecturers gave us moral support and congratulated us for the good performance. The following day, we had our wonderful lecturers back, Madam Liza and Madam Farahiyah for the cover letter writing. They gave us another assignment to do in our team, which was writing a cover letter to a company given by them. Then we exchanged comments on each group’s cover letters and Madam Liza and Madam Farahiyah gave us the overall comments about the cover letters.
The next day, business writing lessons were taught by Miss Tara and Miss Sofia. The both of them gave us basic understandings on how to write a business letter and formats of the letter. I was eagerly waiting for this lesson which was the public speaking .Eventough I was very nervous for this lesson, I made myself stronger and was willing to learn the public speaking skills. As Mr.Farizal selected students for the presentation, they had to present their respective topics. We had 5 presentation groups, with the following topics; ‘Product presentation on “bio-fries”, Debate on genetically modified food brings more harm, Forum on” biotech spurs the economy”, Press conference on “Awareness of biodiversity in Malaysia” and last with “Negotiations on cloning”. The 5 groups did well except for some, who was nervous during their presentation. Mr.Farizal gave comments and corrected each and every person’s mistakes. I learned a lot from this class.
On 11th March, Madam Patricia Green, PhD, MBA gave us a wonderful lecture on Entrepreneurial Leadership. She gave us the basic understanding on entrepreneurship and leadership skills. The next day, we had report writing with Madam Liza and Madam Farahiyah again. I really enjoy their class. They taught us on how to use certain words in a particular sentence. On 15th and 16th March, we had interview techniques class whereby the students that was not chosen for the presentation had to attend the interview. My heart was beating very fast, but luckily my session was the next day. As soon as I entered the class the next day, I started rehearsing on what I am going to say during the interview.

Then, a few of them was called for the interview. Walking about waiting for my name to be called, but unfortunately was not called. It was lunch break. At 2pm, all was waiting for their name to be called including me, but other names were called and next came the tea break. After the tea break, I took a deep breath thinking my name will be called next but failed again. I had cold feet and butterflies in my stomach, wondering why my name was not called. My wonderful friends Renu, Kavitha, Husna, Shera, Afiqah and Dinie were eagerly waiting with me. I did not hesitate to go forward to ask Mr.Farizal to interview me, and he politely asked me to enter the interview room. Time was 4.15pm, I took a deep breath and Mr. Najmi offered me to seat. I sat down not knowing what he is going to ask me. I smiled at Sir and he gave me the first question” tell me about yourself???” .Well I gave him a short answer for that and followed by a few questions which I answered confidently. After the interview was over, he gave good comments about me and he said he will “Hire Me”Yahoo!I was so happy that I just gave a smile :) I said Thank You Sir for giving me this opportunity to learn and gain my confidence and came out from the interview room. Once I was out, I just jumped with joy as if it was the real interview.Haha :)But the thing was that I realized nothing was impossible!!!
